What is Zmist & Copy?

Hey there – I’m Kateryna Abrosymova, the founder of Zmist & Copy. I'm here to tell you who I am and why I created this company.

Copywriters like to say: “Never write for anyone, always write for someone.”

So I'll use the letter format here. This will make you feel like I'm writing to you. It’s a good copywriting practice.

Okay, here we go.

Zmist & Copy is my second business venture

Before creating Zmist & Copy, I was a co-founder of another business. It's called Kaiiax.

Kaiiax is a company that works with software developers. Our core business was about setting up content operations in our client's teams. We hired writers and link builders, figured out what they should do and managed their delivery. This was pretty much like what they call Fractional CMO. I don't like this word. I don't think you can be 'fractional' in marketing. But it actually describes exactly what we did in Kaiiax. We did a good job being fractional though. Our clients worked with us for years. Everything I have at Zmist & Copy today is because of the reputation I built at Kaiiax.

Anyway, Kaiiax was focused on content operations. This is one part. Other parts were SEO and copywriting. We helped our clients attract leads through search engines and write sales copy for their websites (occasionally).

Because of these three different directions I always found it hard to define our category. Were we a content marketing agency? An SEO agency? A content agency? A consulting agency? None of these seemed to cover it. On client calls, we used to say: "We're like consultants but we don't only talk. We also get our hands dirty." That was our category, I guess.

At some point, we decided to divide copywriting and SEO. My business partner was in charge of SEO. I was in charge of copywriting. And no one was in charge of content operations. Hmm…that's probably why we lost that part…

Despite the division, our clients would still think of us as one thing. To them, we were primarily seen as SEO consultants.

I never wanted to own an SEO agency. In fact, I always wanted to own a content agency.

Why Zmist & Copy?

Ever since I started my journey in content marketing when I was hired to write content for Yalantis, a software development company, and then became the CMO there, I always loved creating stuff: blog articles, sales pages, videos, you name it. My true passion has always been writing (I even wrote a book about it), not managing teams or tweaking content to rank better on Google.

Don't get me wrong, I loved my job at Kaiiax. But I also wanted to do things that mattered more to me. I wanted to create content. But I didn't want to build a content agency that is focused solely in executing a client's brief. There had to be something more than just writing. There had to be marketing as well. To complete that picture I also needed strategy and distribution. I knew we could provide strategy, but speaking of distribution...we can help with that too! But not with SEO. I realized that SEO is not the holy grail anymore. There's a whole world of content marketing beyond just chasing search engine rankings.

What is Zmist & Copy?

At Zmist & Copy, we're all about creating content that truly matters. Every word counts, every sentence has a purpose. It's not just about churning out articles based on an SEO brief; it's about diving deep into our clients' businesses, understanding their goals, and crafting content that speaks directly to their audience.

Our mission is simple: to help tech companies succeed by providing them with top-notch content and sales copy that actually gets results.

But it's not just about writing – it's the whole process. We've got four key stages: strategy, creation, repurposing, and optimization.

First up, strategy. This is where we really get to know our clients inside and out. We dive into their business, understand who they're trying to reach, and figure out the best way to do it. It's all about asking the right questions and coming up with a plan that works.

Then comes the fun part: creation. We're all about quality and creativity here. Whether it's crafting persuasive sales copy, insightful expert content, or compelling case studies, we put our heart and soul into every piece we write. You won't find any cookie-cutter content here!

Once we've got the content, it's time to repurpose it. We're all about maximizing our clients' reach and impact. So, we adapt the content for different platforms and formats — LinkedIn, YouTube, podcasts, you name it. It's all about making sure our client's message gets heard loud and clear.

Last but not least, optimization. We're constantly keeping an eye on how our content is performing and tweaking things to get even better results. It's a never-ending process of refinement and improvement, but hey, that's what keeps things interesting!

Our clients?

We team up with software developers, SaaS founders, and leaders in game development, leveraging our expertise in technology to enhance their marketing strategies with exceptional content.

So there you have it — Zmist & Copy in a nutshell.

We're all about creating content that matters, and we'd love to help you do the same.
